Doggie Love
Pets... we love them, but we need to SCOOP THE POOP and remember LEASH IS LOVE!
IT'S THE LAW!
Just a reminder if you walk your pet in the neighborhood of Dean's Reserve, Ordinances of Orange County requires that you keep your pet on a leash at all times. You are also required to immediately remove all solid waste caused by your pet. No one likes to clean up (or walk through) pet waste!

Scoop the PoopNot cleaning up after your pet is breaking the law. Cleaning up after your pet helps keep the environment and the community clean and safe. Feces can carry bacteria that can make people, especially kids, sick and may contain parasites, which can affect both humans and other animals.
Pet waste also is a major contributor to contamination of our waterways. Picking up after your pet isn’t just a courtesy, it’s the healthy and environmentally sound thing to do. It’s as easy as 1-2-3:
Be a good neighbor, carry an extra bag on your walk to avoid being caught off guard or to give to someone who has forgotten their bag - one to care and one to share. |

Keep your furry loved one, your neighbors and you safe!
Even if a dog is leashed, accidents can happen. Your dog may react in an uncustomary fashion if they are surprised by a person, another dog passing by or barking, a cat, a ball, a passing bicycle or car... anything that might distract them or catch their attention (that you may or may not be able to see or identify). The most well-trained dogs can become laser-focused on a distraction or item of interest and not follow a command they typically faithfully respond to. If you have an unleashed dog, no matter how well trained you feel they are, that doesn't necessarily make another person who is alone, with children or another pet feel comfortable - nor can you predict how another person's pet may react to you or your pet. Ordinance of Orange County, regarding dogs on a leash... pursuant to Chapter 5, Animals, Article II, Animal Services, Section 5-29.1.a and b, Section 5-33.a.1 and 2 of the Ordinances for Orange County, Florida, dogs are required to wear a leash when off the owner’s property or on any piece of public property. |
